On reward in the afterlife…
6: 2 Without the promise of Heaven or paradise, there would be no appeal to the Abrahamic religions. The afterlife is the catch, the reward. 6: 3 I believe that true enlightenment cannot happen without the acceptance of no reward—the acceptance of damnation. 6: 4 If you can still care for humanity and Earth, then and only then can you be redeemed. 6: 5 In addition to the reward promised by Religion, Buddhism offers a side step from reality, creating your perception and a pseudo-reality inside your mind.
6: 6 Even with this “escape,” there is still the external reality, whatever it is. Just because you can change your internal state or cease attachments does not change what is external to you. 6: 7 Acceptance is the only clear path, acceptance of condemnation.
