On religious and national indoctrination…
7: 2 Religions try to indoctrinate at the earliest, most impressionable age. This ensures complete acceptance of their dogma. 7: 3 The indoctrination works. Most people are of the same religion as their parents. It is similar to making school kids say the pledge of allegiance. 7: 4 Religion and nationalism play on the same emotions. Religion outlines a set of rules and promises rewards or punishments. 7: 5 Do these rules apply equally to all? Who benefits the most from the control the rules levy? The power elite do not need to obey the rules of Religion. 7: 6 They have everything they need here and now; if one population does not need to follow the rules, they can manipulate and exploit those that do.
7: 7 Additionally, the power elite do not need patriotism. Nationalism means nothing to the powerful; only bloodlines matter. 7: 8 The military was not created to protect the citizenry. The military was created to protect the interests of the power elite. The citizenry is there to provide the bodies for the military.
7: 9 There is a reason for wars; most of the time, it is greed. The fighters of the wars have to be believers. 7: 10 They have to believe they are fighting for an idea or the safety of their families or God. 7: 11 It has to be strong enough to galvanize them. Religion and nationalism are galvanizing forces.
