12: 2 Fascist undertones are part of the American fabric, especially nationalistic pride and institutional racism. 12: 3 As we all saw in 2020, about a quarter of the population would bow to a dictator if he delivered to them the national and racial pride they desperately crave. 12: 4 The romanticized beginning of this country only makes sense if you were white, male, owned land, and a Christian.

12: 7 Many American companies supported Hitler and his ideologies during his rise to power in Germany. Including Ford, General Electric, IBM, and Standard Oil. 12: 8 Many of these companies used slave labor or contributed to the Holocaust. Additionally, there were sizeable nazi affiliations in the US during the 1930s, numbering into possibly the hundreds of thousands. 12: 9 These supporters included German immigrants, but just like in 2020, most were hungry for a nationalistic fervor and an excuse to celebrate their whiteness.

There is already a tight brotherhood and a nationalistic us against the world mentality. 12: 11 Police are given almost unlimited power over the citizenry by the municipality or county they work for. This attracts a certain kind of despotic personality, in short, a fascist.
